To fix this, run the console and type in "snd_rebuildaudiocache". ![]() The first things you notice are the broken menu sounds and stuff like that. Delete modelsounds.cache and sound.cache from left4dead2 and "left4dead2/sound" folders.ĥ. ![]() Once it asks you to replace the files, hit yes to all.ģ. Drag and drop the modded "sound" folder on top of the original sound folder within l4d2 folder.Ģ. Due to the way the game won't allow audio to go past the length of the original audio files, and because of how I want my vision for this mod to work properly without some stupid abrupt cuts, this is the only way to go forward.ġ. The mod required the game files to be directly replaced as opposed to how the Workshop handles it. Make a back-up of everything the mod will replace if you do not want to redownload them. How to install sounds: (This tutorial is from my first mod, I'm not sure if it's completely up to date and will work since I haven't screwed with my current game files yet, but I don't think anything has changed)
